With father's help (and his name), was elected Governor of Texas.
Accomplishments as Governor:
Changed pollution laws to favor power and oil companies and made Texas the
most polluted state in the US, including helping make Houston the most
smog-ridden city in America.
Cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas State government through billions in
borrowed money.
Set record for most executions by any Governor in American history.
Became President of the United States after losing the popular election by
over 500,000 votes, but winning the Electoral College by one vote as a
result of a US Supreme Court decision of 5 to 4 to halt all efforts to
correct problematic balloting in the state of Florida, which was run by
brother (two members of the Supreme Court who voted with the 5, Scalia and
Thomas, had family members working for Bush election committee, and one,
Scalia, had been appointed by father).

Spent the surplus and bankrupted the treasury.
Shattered record for biggest annual deficit in history.
Presided over a record number of private bankruptcies filed in any 12-month period.
Presided over a record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period.
Presided over biggest drop in the US stock market in history.
First president in decades to execute a federal prisoner.
First president in US history to enter office with a criminal record.
First year in office set all-time record for most days on vacation by any
president in US history.
Set record for more campaign fundraising trips than any other president in
US history.
Spent more money on polls and focus groups than any president in US history.
All-time US (and world) record holder for receiving most corporate campaign
contributions (biggest lifetime campaign contributor was Ken Lay, former
CEO of Enron, who presided over one of the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in world history).
After taking vacation the entire month of August 2001, presided over worst
security failure in US history, and in the months following prevented any
public investigation into that security failure.
First president to hide when the US came under attack (saying the enemy
had the code to Air Force 1, which at the time there was no reason to assume
and which later proved not to be true).
In first 2 years in office over 2 million Americans lost their jobs.
Cut unemployment benefits for more out-of-work Americans than any
president in US history.
Appointed more convicted criminals to Administration positions than any president in US history.
Changed US policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.

US law by not selling investments in corporations bidding for government contracts.
Set record for holding fewer press conferences than any US president since the advent of television.
Signed more legislation and executive orders amending Constitutionally-based laws and policies than any president
in US history, including removing or limiting more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in US history.
Presided over biggest energy crises in US history, and refused to intervene when corruption was revealed.
Presided over highest gasoline prices in US history, and refused to use
national petroleum reserves, as past presidents have done.
Cut healthcare benefits for military veterans.
Set the all-time record for most people (15 million worldwide)
simultaneously to protest and action by the US administration, shattering
the record for a protest against any person in the history of humankind.
Abrogated or ignored more international treaties than any president in US history.

occupation of a sovereign nation, and did so unilaterally against the will
of United Nations and the world community.

First president in US history to have United Nations remove the US from the elections monitoring board.

Took enormous world sympathy for US after 9/11, and in less than a year
made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in US history).
First US president to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view a US Administration as the biggest threat to world peace and stability.
